Enriched Air Nitrox
The aim of the PADI specialty courses is to safely educate those divers that want to learn about the knowledge, planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and risks in different areas of diving. When you sign up for a PADI specialty course, you will learn all there is to know in that particular area. The number of dives can vary from 2 to 4 depending on the specialty course chosen. Minimum ages depend on the specific course.
What is it?
The PADI course called Enriched Air or the most common one Nitrox. Dive with Nitrox it will allow you longer bottom times within the safety zone. Basically it means you can spend longer time underwater with Enriched Air than with simple air, but to refill Nitrox tanks you have to have the PADI Nitrox Speciality card. If you are a photographer, a lover of wrecks or just simply on holiday in a tropical place, or maybe just up for a dive close to home and wish to spend the most time possible underwater then the PADI Enriched Air course will allow you to take full advantage from your dives. Basically it means you can spend longer time underwater with Enriched Air than with simple air, but to obtain Nitrox cylinders you have to have the PADI Nitrox Speciality certification.
